Metlery is a collective of 16 jewellery and object makers, founded at HAWK in Hildesheim. What connects us is not a single style, but the belief that many perspectives should have space. Each of us brings different experiences, methods, and ideas – and through exchange we create work that goes beyond the individual.
Our journey started in 2024 with building Hang Out for a Quiet Moment for the Metal- and Jewellerydesign Department at Galerie Marzee. This was followed by Fall Into Place at the Bavarian Craft Council and Mehrbettzimmer (Galerie Marzee). From one team we grew into a collective. Today, we keep building, showing, and touring together.
Looking ahead, we want to continue organizing temporary exhibitions, but also realize regional projects.

Selftitled: The Metlery Collective Introduction
As the first exhibition for Metlery we presented at the Projektor in Berlin a diverse selection of objects from each member on wooden boards. The Objects where acompanied by a self choosen portrait of the Artist and a discriptionary text.
Selftitled marked a kind of new start as it was the first exhibition that was realised only by the members of Metlery ond not in collaboration with the Metaldesign Department or other Students at the HAWK Hildesheim.
