It is a misconception that owning books goes hand in hand with reading them. This discrepancy is illustrated by the form and use of "Throne of the Reader". As a classic cantilever chair, "Throne of the Reader" cannot be used without collapsing due to the MDF material. A functional seating object is only created in combination with books as a support. But if the books are an essential part of the construction, it is not possible to remove them in order to sit on the chair and read. In terms of design, the theme of the lasercut edge and its interlocking was a focal point. As the inner support structure is inserted through the shell surfaces and then ends on the outer surfaces, a visually interesting pattern is created which does not affect the usability of the chair through topographical changes.
